Detox Deodorant is a good choice if you are having difficulty with the transition from commercial deodorants to natural ones. We've used arrowroot powder, white clay and tea tree oil, which all contribute to speeding up the process of drawing toxins from your body.

When you first switch over to natural deodorant, you may expect a transition period of about a week or so. Regular antiperspirants work by shrinking and plugging the pores of the armpit – preventing the body’s natural ability to sweat. This traps toxins in our body. It will take a few days for your body to unclog and reopen the pores so they can function properly. As these toxins are being released, you may notice body odor increasing. Just think of it this way – it’s the “badness” coming out. Please don’t give up! You may need to try the detox deodorant to speed up this adjustment period. It will get better once your body has a chance to naturally cleanse itself.
Coconut Oil based products are temperature sensitive. Expect your deodorant to become hard in cooler temperatures and liquidy when very warm. None of this affects the function of the product at all. If it gets too cold and solidifies, put it somewhere warmer. In the meantime, use the back of your thumbnail to scrape off your portion. If it melts too much, just give it a stir and put it somewhere cooler - even in the fridge for a bit.
